The coronavirus pandemic has affected almost all sectors of the world economy, including the production of electronic components, and first of all – chips.

The deficiency of electronic components has prompted a sharp increase in prices for some types of chips ten times, which leads to an increase in the cost of the final product, and in some cases stopping production lines.

Warehouse residues and price for 1/10/100 units

In the spring of 2021, the cost of a microprocessor used in our modules was about $ 0.85 per unit. And now (December 2021) the warehouses sell the residues of the parties as early as $ 16.00 per unit. At the same time, new orders are planned to be released at the end of 2022.

How much more this situation will continue – no one knows. Some experts predict until mid -2022, skeptics by the end of 2023.

We decided not “to let the grass grow under one’s feet” and changed the scheme of our modules, which allowed to reduce the expectation of a new party to one month.
